Pest Control Technician - Termite
About The Position
Stark Exterminators is hiring a full-time Termite Pest Control Technician to provide residential or commercial customers with service using an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach. The position is paid hourly and includes a company vehicle. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided to the right person. The technician follows the prescribed treatment shown on inspection documentation, prepares treatment areas by removing and hauling away debris as prescribed, and applies wood-destroying organism treatments to buildings and structures. Treatments may include installing Sentricon termite bait stations, trenching and applying liquid treatment around exterior or crawl-space perimeters, drilling and applying liquid treatment in void spaces or blocks, and spraying affected areas. The technician also develops customer relationships, explains personalized solutions, answers questions, collects service payments, and maintains equipment and the company vehicle in proper operating condition.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current driver's license.
- Ability to pass and maintain any state regulatory agency-required licensing or certification exams.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide residential or commercial pest control services using an Integrated Pest Management approach.
- Determine the prescribed treatment using the inspection graph and specification sheet.
- Prepare site areas for treatment by removing and hauling off debris as prescribed.
- Install termite bait stations, including Sentricon systems, using augers and digging tools.
- Trench and apply liquid treatment to exterior or crawl-space perimeters of structures.
- Drill and apply liquid treatment to void spaces or blocks in crawl spaces and structures.
- Apply spray treatments to affected areas.
- Describe personalized treatment solutions and answer customer questions.
- Collect service payments from customers.
- Keep equipment and the company vehicle in proper operating condition.
