Pest & Termite Technician
About The Position
Northwest Exterminating is hiring a Pest & Termite Technician to provide pest and termite services to customers in the community. The role involves independent, outdoor, route-based work and direct customer interaction. Technicians assist service professionals with pest control, mosquito treatments, and termite inspections; perform pre- and post-construction termite treatments; and monitor termite bait systems. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates with no prior experience, with opportunities to take the lead with customers and advance their careers. Technicians are expected to build lasting customer relationships, anticipate and address customer needs, and collaborate with customer service, sales, and management to deliver a strong customer experience. They must follow safety standards and regulations, operate company equipment and vehicles safely, and apply pest control products according to label standards. The position requires working in varied weather and environments, including confined spaces.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently and manage route-based assignments.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle for extended periods and travel between counties or service areas.
- Comfort working in confined spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, and rooftops.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
