Pest Control Technician Apprentice
About The Position
Pro Active Pest Control is hiring a full-time Pest Control Technician Apprentice to manage a service route and provide pest-control solutions and customer service in the field. The company provides paid training, including state licensing, and will train candidates with no prior experience. Apprentices train with a licensed technician to learn the duties and responsibilities of a State Pest Control Board (SPCB) licensee. Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Self-motivation and motivation to help the company grow and succeed.
- Willingness to go above and beyond and care about customers.
- A valid driver’s license and a great DMV record.
- Willingness to routinely lift, push, and pull equipment; ascend and descend ladders; and occasionally work at height.
- Willingness to obtain an Applicator or Branch II Field Representative license with the California State Pest Control Board; passing a live scan is required.
- Ability to manage time and occasionally multitask.
- Ability to pass the SPCB exam and become licensed within 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Manage an established service route and serve new customers.
- Troubleshoot pest problems.
- Manage time each day and multitask when needed.
- Inspect customers’ homes and businesses.
- Provide treatments at customers’ homes and businesses.
- Educate new and existing customers about services.
- Help the company reach service and sales goals.
- Continually refine skills and knowledge.
- Train with a licensed technician to learn the duties and responsibilities of an SPCB licensee.
