About The Position

Parsons is seeking a highly talented Personnel Security Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and assigning priorities to cases as specified by the government. Key duties include ensuring that all investigation cases are completed within the mandates set by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Trusted Workforce (TW) 2.0, Federal Investigative Standards (FIS), and Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs). You will also be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and currency of all case data entry, providing weekly status reports on background investigations to government leadership, and assisting in the preparation of monthly PERSEC metrics slides. The role requires elevating issues and proposing solutions to bottlenecks that hinder the achievement of investigation metrics. Additionally, you will maintain all tracking and status reports in PERSEC Drive shared files, ensuring that folders are clearly labeled and easily searchable according to government-established document mapping criteria. A high attention to detail in applying personnel security case management methodologies is crucial. This position is part of Parsons' Federal Solutions team, which provides services and solutions in defense, security, intelligence, infrastructure, and environmental sectors to US government customers.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.
  • A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of Personnel Security experience.
  • Extensive knowledge on SEADs mandates.
  • Strong ability to produce clear, concise, and well‑structured written documentation.
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of and hands-on experience in personnel security within the DoD and Intelligence Community environments.
  • Effective and professional communication skills with the ability to engage positively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills to consistently meet established timelines and comply with Federal Investigative Standards and quality requirements.
  • Significant proficiency and working experience using Microsoft Excel for data tracking, analysis, and reporting.

  • Minimum one year of demonstrated experience in conducting background investigations in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all case progress to ensure investigation cases are completed within Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Trusted Workforce (TW) 2.0, FIS, and SEADs mandates.
  • Ensure no errors are detected and that all case data entry is current and accurate.
  • Monitor and assign priorities to cases as specified by the Government.
  • Provide written weekly status reports on background investigations to the government leadership.
  • Assist in preparing the PERSEC monthly metrics slides with all required information related to background investigations for delivery to Government Point of Contact (GPOC) within required timeline each month as set by GPOC.
  • Elevate to the government leadership issues and proposed solutions to bottlenecks precluding achievement of investigation metrics.
  • Maintain all tracking reports and status reports in PERSEC Drive shared files, with the latest revision in the external folder, and historical records maintained in an archive folder.
  • Inspect, document, and validate that all folders are clearly labeled and easily searchable in accordance with the document mapping criteria established by the Government.
  • High attention to detail in the application of personnel security case management methodologies.
