At Dungarvin, we are more than a provider of support services—we’re a mission-driven team rooted in respect, response and choice. Since 1976, we’ve been dedicated to meeting people where they are, working alongside them to provide person centered supports that allow people to live independently as possible. You’ll work directly with people in need of assistance, and/or living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs. With services nationwide, our team is united by a shared commitment to making a real difference—one person, one voice, one choice at a time. We encourage you to embrace this opportunity to impact someone’s life. Personal Support Assistant/Caregivers support individuals with physical, emotional, and/or intellectual disabilities in living self-directed lives. While living in the home with those we serve, this role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, safety, and meaningful community inclusion. The Personal Support Assistant/Caregiver also helps foster a warm, family-like atmosphere where individuals served feel valued, respected, included, and connected within their home and community. This includes building trusting relationships, encouraging shared routines and celebrations, and promoting a sense of belonging while honoring each person’s choices, boundaries, and independence. The Personal Support Assistant/Caregiver works collaboratively with the program director and team members to help develop, implement, and evaluate participant supports. This includes reporting household, medical, maintenance, program, or personnel concerns to the appropriate supervisor or lead staff member.
