About The Position

The Personal Shopper, also referred to as a Digital Clerk, fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and supports a smooth, friendly pickup experience. The role involves shopping orders accurately and efficiently, preparing and staging them according to standards and food safety guidelines, and assisting customers at Meijer’s curbside pickup area. The position also supports broader store operations as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
At least 1 year of experience.
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
Process-driven, with the ability to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience.
Past cashier experience.
Past online ordering experience.

Responsibilities

Provide service at the curbside pickup area by accurately fulfilling orders and collecting payment during the carside experience.
Greet customers courteously in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, store team members, and leadership.
Resolve customer concerns promptly, partnering with leadership when needed.
Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag items according to bagging standards.
Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
