About The Position

The Personal Shopper (also described as a Digital Clerk) fulfills customers’ online curbside orders by selecting items throughout the store, verifying and bagging products, and preparing orders for pickup. The role provides a smooth, friendly carside experience through accurate order fulfillment, payment collection, and responsive customer service. Employees receive workflow through a dashboard and help keep the curbside pickup area clean and ready. Training is provided.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
At least 1 year of experience.
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
Process-driven, with the ability to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience.
Past cashier experience.
Past online ordering experience.

Responsibilities

Fulfill online orders accurately and efficiently for the Meijer Pickup curbside area.
Provide friendly, remarkable service during curbside pickup and collect payment.
Greet customers in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, store team members, and leadership.
Partner with leadership to resolve customer concerns quickly.
Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag items according to standards.
Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
