We’re looking for a full-time Personal Lines Insurance Broker to join our team. This is a client-facing role for someone who enjoys building relationships, providing thoughtful insurance advice, and taking ownership of their accounts.

Requirements

  • An active RIBO license
  • Previous personal lines brokerage experience and familiarity with managing a book of business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A natural ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Knowledge of personal lines insurance products and basic underwriting principles
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines
  • A proactive approach to finding solutions and following through
  • The ability to work independently while being a supportive member of the team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Applied EPIC is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of personal lines clients and providing responsive, knowledgeable service
  • Preparing quotes and handling new business, renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and other account activity
  • Reviewing client information and underwriting documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Assessing client risks and recommending coverage that fits their individual needs
  • Working directly with insurance carriers and advocating for clients when issues arise
  • Reviewing accounts and identifying opportunities for additional coverage or improved solutions
  • Generating new business through referrals, existing client relationships, cross-selling, and up-selling
  • Remarketing accounts when appropriate to ensure clients have competitive coverage and pricing
  • Reporting claims and helping clients navigate the claims process from start to finish
  • Following up on outstanding requests and keeping accounts organized and current
  • Maintaining accurate information in carrier portals and Applied EPIC
  • Developing strong working relationships with our insurance markets
  • Keeping informed about changes to products, underwriting requirements, and the insurance marketplace
  • Working with colleagues to create a consistent and positive client experience
