About The Position

Claremont Insurance Brokers is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Insurance Broker to join their family-owned brokerage on a full-time basis. This role involves managing client accounts, providing advice and coverage recommendations, collaborating with insurance markets, and identifying growth opportunities. The brokerage emphasizes building strong client relationships, fostering a supportive team environment, and offering opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

  • An active RIBO license.
  • Previous experience working with a personal lines book of business in a brokerage setting.
  • Strong communication and relationship-management abilities.
  • A client-focused approach and the confidence to provide insurance advice and recommendations.
  • A good working knowledge of personal lines products and insurance fundamentals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and follow-through.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Applied EPIC experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of personal lines clients.
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients through responsive, knowledgeable service.
  • Handling new business, renewals, policy changes, endorsements, and quotations from start to finish.
  • Reviewing client and underwriting information and following up on missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Evaluating client needs and exposures and recommending appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Communicating with insurance companies and advocating for clients.
  • Reviewing existing accounts for opportunities to improve coverage, pricing, or overall client value.
  • Identifying additional insurance needs and generating opportunities through referrals, account reviews, cross-selling, and up-selling.
  • Shopping and remarketing accounts to find suitable coverage and competitive options.
  • Assisting clients with claims, including reporting new claims and providing guidance.
  • Following up on outstanding items and ensuring client accounts remain accurate and up to date.
  • Entering and maintaining policy information in carrier systems and Applied EPIC.
  • Keeping up to date with changes to insurer products, underwriting requirements, and the personal lines marketplace.
  • Working collaboratively with the broader team to provide a consistent and positive client experience.
