About The Position

McDaniel Insurance Agency is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping clients protect what matters most to them. The Personal Lines Account Manager will manage and service an existing book of personal insurance clients while helping identify opportunities to improve coverage and strengthen client relationships. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with both clients and insurance carriers.

Requirements

  • Previous insurance, customer service, or account management experience preferred.
  • Property & Casualty insurance license preferred; willingness to obtain a license may be considered for the right candidate.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable learning and using insurance agency management systems and other technology.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential client information professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to personal lines clients by phone, email, and in person.
  • Manage policies including homeowners, auto, umbrella, recreational vehicle, and other personal insurance products.
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and other service requests.
  • Review renewals and coverage.
  • Obtain quotes and remarket accounts when appropriate.
  • Explain coverage, deductibles, premiums, and policy options clearly to clients.
  • Assist clients with billing, claims questions, and general policy concerns.
  • Communicate with insurance carriers regarding underwriting and policy servicing.
  • Maintain accurate client and policy information in the agency management system.
  • Document client communications and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer additional insurance needs when appropriate.
  • Build long-term relationships by providing responsive, friendly, and professional service.
  • Follow agency procedures and applicable insurance regulations.
