Requirements

  • Responsible to obtain and maintain the required license or certification in an active status
  • Able to display working knowledge of carrier offerings, processes, and requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment, while operating independently and displaying advanced level of proficiency in minimization of errors & problem solving.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, & events as required by business need/Leadership directive
  • Working knowledge of computer software and ability to effectively navigate multiple systems
  • Ability to remain effective under pressure during high-volume periods, resolve problems promptly, and de-escalate member concerns
  • Ability to multitask in various areas of insurance sales and service

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for personal lines clients, addressing inquiries, policy changes and issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their insurance needs are met.
  • Educate clients on various personal insurance products and recommend suitable coverage options.
  • Act as day-to-day point of contact for client inquiries including policy questions, coverage explanations, billing issues and service requests.
  • Educate clients on personal lines products, coverage options, limits, deductibles, exclusions and carrier differences in clear, professional language.
  • Promote retention through consistent service delivery, responsiveness and relationship management.
  • Handle the issuance and renewal of personal insurance policies.
  • Ensure timely processing of policy applications, payments, and certificates of insurance.
  • Review and prepare insurance proposals and policy renewals.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and policy updates in CRM or agency management software.
  • Assist clients in filing insurance claims and provide guidance throughout the claims process.
  • Review renewal accounts when appropriate and present alternate coverage or carrier options to support retention and value.
  • Ensure timely processing of applications, endorsements, certificates and required documentation.
  • Contribute meaningfully to agency growth while maintaining service responsibilities.
  • Identify cross-sell, upsell and account rounding opportunities during service and renewal interactions.
  • Support new business development efforts by providing product expertise, quoting support and onboarding assistance.
  • Independently write new personal lines business where appropriate, contributing to defined sales expectations.
  • Maintain productive relationships with personal lines carriers, understanding appetite, placement, guidelines and exceptions.
  • Collaborate with the producer/principal and sales team on shared opportunities, overflow leads or complex placements.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance and operational integrity across all work.
  • Conduct ongoing review of policies and accounts to identify gaps in coverage, errors or opportunities for improved protection.
  • Ensure transactions comply with carrier underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Maintain organized, accurate documentation of all client interactions and transactions.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes, carrier updates and agency workflows.
