About The Position
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support in managing personal injury cases from inception through resolution, ensuring efficient case progression and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive paralegal experience, particularly within personal injury law, and demonstrate proficiency in legal research, document management, and client communication. Requirements
- Minimum of three years of paralegal experience with a focus on personal injury law or civil litigation support
- Proven knowledge of procedural law related to personal injury cases as well as general & commercial litigation practices
- Proficiency in legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Ability to perform detailed legal research and support complex litigation processes effectively
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with iManage, PCLaw, and document review software is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at client interaction and maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Experience handling confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Familiarity with legal drafting, proofreading, and document management systems
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement agreements related to personal injury cases
- Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategy and factual development
- Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date
- Coordinate with clients for interviews, gather medical records, police reports, and other pertinent evidence necessary for case development
- Track case deadlines and court filings to ensure compliance with procedural law requirements
- Support litigation processes by reviewing documents for relevance and accuracy, assisting with deposition preparation, and organizing trial materials
- Maintain effective communication with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other stakeholders while handling confidential information with discretion
- Prepare detailed reports on case status updates for attorneys and clients regularly
- Assist in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence
