About The Position

A well-established, mid-size law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to work in plaintiff personal injury litigation. The paralegal will handle a caseload of 20–30 active cases and work closely with attorneys, while also being able to work independently and as part of a team. The role is in office Monday through Friday. Compensation includes a competitive salary and discretionary, performance-based bonuses.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of paralegal litigation experience.
• Ability to draft pleadings for attorney review.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Knowledge of local rules and civil procedures.
• In-depth experience with the discovery process.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Friendly and compassionate demeanor.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit correspondence and pleadings for attorney review.
• Monitor calendar deadlines and statutes of limitations.
• Work closely with attorneys.
• Manage cases.
• Prepare for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Prepare exhibit binders.
• E-file documents.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
