About The Position

Human Touch Home Care is seeking a Personal Care Worker to help clients live healthy and fulfilling lives at home. The company provides skilled and non-skilled home healthcare services to homebound clients in Colorado, including seniors and people with disabilities or illnesses. The role provides unskilled personal care and homemaking services to patients, following the company’s rules and regulations. Work is performed in person, and the position is offered as full-time or part-time. The stated pay range is $18.00–$19.29 per hour.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret regulations and other documents.
• Personal transportation, a valid state-issued driver’s license, a good driving record, and auto insurance as required by law.
• Ability to quickly learn specific software and new applications.

Nice To Haves

• Some experience working with elderly and frail people; training will be provided.
• One year of home care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide unskilled personal care and homemaking services to the company’s patients.
• Provide personal care services required by the consumer in accordance with the company’s rules and regulations.
• Accompany or drive patients to physicians’ offices or clinics.
• Assist, or provide standby assistance, with bathing, skin care, hair care, toileting, dressing, shaving, nail care, and mouth care.
• Perform housekeeping tasks as directed, limited to the consumer’s living area and bedroom.
• Make beds and change and launder linens.
• Wash dishes, prepare meals, and grocery shop.
• Clean the stove, kitchen, and bathroom.
• Vacuum, sweep, dust, take out trash, run errands as needed, and mop floors; ensure floors are dry before leaving.
• Advise the staffing director of requests that cannot be met or unsafe conditions.
• Provide and document services on time sheets dependably and on time.
• Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate.
