About The Position
Calvary Aged Care is seeking compassionate Personal Care Workers to support residents and help them live the lives they choose. The role contributes to residents’ physical, emotional and lifestyle needs while promoting choice and independence. Workers deliver personal care within an established and agreed framework and support resident wellbeing through observation, assessment and activities aligned with care plans. This is a permanent part-time position based in Springvale, Victoria.
Requirements
- Certificate Level III in Individual Support.
- NDIS clearance check, or willingness to obtain one.
- Effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads.
- Working knowledge of workplace health and safety (WH&S) and infection control.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar aged care or health care role.
Responsibilities
- Support residents to exercise choice and independence and live the life they choose.
- Assist residents with one-on-one activities that support wellbeing, including hobbies and interests aligned with their care plans.
- Contribute to residents’ physical, emotional and lifestyle needs through assessment and observation.
- Deliver personal care tasks, including daily hygiene such as showering, shaving, dressing, mouth and eye care, and continence management.
- Assist residents with mobility according to their care plans.
