About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers to provide high-quality care to clients in Barton Hills, Michigan. The role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities in their homes and supporting their comfort, safety, and well-being. Workers follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals, maintain client confidentiality, and follow applicable policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Personal Support Worker or in a similar role is a plus but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients and team members.
- Reliable transportation to the Barton Hills, Michigan location.
- Willingness to undergo background checks.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and assisting clients.
Nice To Haves
- Certification or training in personal support or healthcare is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to help clients move safely between locations.
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition.
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to policies and procedures.
