The Personal Care Teacher Assistant (PCTA) works under the direction of the Principal and assists the teacher in achieving educational objectives. The PCTA works with individual students or small groups to help them meet instructional standards, reinforcing learning and guiding independent study, enrichment, and remedial work. This role involves implementing behavior plans, monitoring student health concerns in collaboration with the teacher and nurse, and providing personal care and hygiene assistance when necessary. The PCTA also assists with data collection, organization of student work, and facilitating social interaction. This position is located in a K-12 school environment.
