About The Position

RISE Personal Care Specialists engage one-on-one with patients and/or customers throughout their visit, from entering the retail area through checkout and departure. They provide a friendly, upbeat experience and use their knowledge of the dispensary’s products and consumption methods to connect each person with products and approaches suited to their needs. Specialists educate customers on products, consumption methods, and safety; assist with store operations; and help maintain a positive, compliant, and well-presented dispensary. Duties may take place at assigned front-of-house, back-of-house, or maintenance workstations during scheduled shifts.

Requirements

At least one year of customer service experience.
Meet scheduling and availability requirements, including varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends, to meet business needs.
Reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Pass required background checks, including state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
Possess a valid driver’s license or state ID.
Remain compliant with legal and company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
Ability to move about the dispensary and assist patients and/or customers in different locations for prolonged periods.
Ability to remain stationary when required by business needs for prolonged periods.
Ability to converse and communicate directly with individuals and groups.
Ability to operate a point-of-sale system, computer, and office productivity equipment, and use software including word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and email.
Ability to prepare orders by moving and placing products.
Ability to inspect and receive detailed information, including dates of birth, orders, or inquiries.
Ability to move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently and position oneself to move materials in storage areas.
Consistently demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
Ability to listen well and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with varied audiences.
Follow instructions and incorporate constructive criticism from managers.
Maintain professionalism and integrity, handle confidential information appropriately, and comply with HIPAA requirements.

Nice To Haves

Specialty, customer-facing retail experience is preferred.
Previous knowledge of cannabis, cannabinoids, the endocannabinoid system, GTI products, and cannabis therapies is preferred.
Previous experience with point-of-sale systems.
Understanding of applicable cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, local municipal codes, organizational rules, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

Engage with and assist patients and/or customers in a customer-facing retail environment.
Educate patients and/or customers about products, consumption methods, and safety.
Recommend safe and effective product regimens suited to individual needs, using current product knowledge.
Remain up to date on product knowledge.
Promote a positive, communicative, patient- and customer-oriented work environment.
Help verify the accuracy of order deliveries.
Support the management team in keeping retail operations smooth, proper, and compliant, including daily activities, maintenance, and handling reported issues or complaints involving patient information.
Uphold local and state cannabis regulations.
Keep the sales floor stocked and the store well maintained and compliant.
Maintain hard-copy files as required.
Follow security measures and safety compliance procedures.
Complete duties at management-assigned workstations, including check-in, sales floor, point of sale, curbside, roll-through, fulfillment, receiving, replenishment, inventory counts, and maintenance.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards throughout the dispensary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
