About The Position

Allcare Home Health Agency is seeking dependable, compassionate, and responsible Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide non-hands-on, high-quality in-home supportive care. The role focuses on companionship, supervision, and homemaking rather than direct physical personal care. PCAs provide one-on-one personalized support to clients in home environments, long-term care facilities, and assisted living communities. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available in Chapel Hill.

Requirements

• Current TB test.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current auto insurance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of personal care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Monitor and supervise clients to promote safety and well-being.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
• Remind clients about scheduled activities and appointments.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior to the supervisor.
• Follow individualized care plans and agency policies.
