Personal Care Assistant - PCA
About The Position
Senior Helpers of Milford is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide one-on-one care to seniors, enabling them to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. This role offers a more relaxed environment compared to facility work and focuses on individual client needs. The position involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring client well-being, and adhering to personalized care plans. We serve various communities in Massachusetts, including Bellingham, Blackstone, Franklin, Foxboro, South Grafton, Hopedale, Medfield, Mansfield, Mendon, Medway, Milford, Millis, North Attleboro, Sharon, Stoughton, Upton, Walpole, Webster, and Wrentham.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation.
- Compassionate attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to pass a CORI background check.
- Dependable, caring, and passionate about helping others.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving experience.
- PCA, HHA, or CNA experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate one-on-one care to seniors in their homes.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Prepare meals and provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and engage in light housekeeping and laundry.
- Assist with errands and transportation.
- Provide mobility assistance.
- Monitor clients' well-being and report any changes to the office.
- Follow each client's personalized care plan.
