About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring Personal Care Aides/Caregivers in Sunbury to help seniors live safely and happily at home. The role provides one-to-one personal care and support, including assistance with activities of daily living, household tasks, transportation, and companionship. Aides also help clients with mobility and range-of-motion exercises, provide medication reminders, document client condition, report concerns to a supervisor, and help maintain a safe home environment. The position offers a family-oriented culture and the opportunity to provide personalized, home-based care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in Pennsylvania.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
• Compassionate and helpful nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support so seniors can live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Help clients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment by keeping pathways unobstructed.
• Participate in activities clients enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
