About The Position
Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Personal Banker I for its Downtown Santa Barbara Branch. The role delivers a World Class Experience through excellent service to internal and external customers. The Personal Banker I serves as a point of contact for walk-in customers, fulfilling sales, service, and referral needs. The position requires understanding customers’ transaction requirements and communicating available options effectively, with primary responsibility for a variety of over-the-counter cash and negotiable transactions. The work is fully onsite in Santa Barbara, California.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of point-of-sale experience.
- Customer-service orientation and desire to work with the public.
- Strong sales skills.
- Ability to accurately handle large amounts of currency.
Nice To Haves
- Some college.
- Previous teller experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain expectations for proper cash handling, new-account production and maintenance, and teller-line work.
- Accurately operate network computers, software, and other equipment needed to open accounts and handle financial transactions.
- Provide information about bank products and services that can benefit customers and enhance their banking relationships.
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests regarding bank products.
- Resolve customer inquiries and issues professionally.
- Work as part of the branch team to meet individual and branch goals.
