About The Position

Join the Scripps Health team as a Perinatal Sonographer in La Jolla and work alongside passionate caregivers to provide patient-centered healthcare. This full-time position involves 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, with potential travel to other Perinatal sites. In Perinatology, you will work with a highly engaged team of Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, a dedicated perinatology ultrasound educator, genetic counselors, a clinical complex patient care coordinator, and specialized perinatal nurses. Be part of a positive, collaborative environment committed to high-quality, patient-centered care and contribute to the expansion of our dynamic perinatology program. You will gain experience with new GE Voluson E10 imaging equipment, learn advanced imaging techniques (3D/4D) and protocols, have exposure to ultrasound-guided invasive procedures, and the opportunity to train in fetal echocardiography. Requirements

  • ARDMS or CCI
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Completion of formal training/educational program
  • Imaging experience in a hospital or clinic setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • At least 1 year of experience (for new hires to be eligible for incentives)

Nice To Haves

  • MFM Experience or OB/GYN
  • Fetal Echocardiogram is strongly preferred.
  • Cervical Assessment by Fetal Medicine Foundation
  • Nuchal Translucency (NT)
  • Experience with complex anatomical ultrasound
  • Completion of formal training/educational program in a school that is accredited by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs).

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the perinatal patient.
  • Operate GE Voluson E10 imaging equipment.
  • Learn and apply advanced imaging techniques (3D/4D) and protocols.
  • Gain exposure to ultrasound-guided invasive procedures.
  • Train in fetal echocardiography.
  • Collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, ultrasound educator, genetic counselors, patient care coordinator, and perinatal nurses.
  • Contribute to the expansion of the perinatology program.
  • Provide patient-centered healthcare.
