Perinatal Health Specialist
About The Position
The Perinatal Health Specialist position will provide technical assistance, guidance, and support to the ROOTs HUBs in the implementation of required maternal/perinatal health elements of the Rural Health Transformation Program. This position will support the HUBs with their program planning and implementation efforts, which includes providing guidance and support related to Level of Care Assessment Tool (LOCATe), Expanding Access in Maternity Care Deserts through the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Obstetrical Emergencies training and the I Gave Birth Initiative. This position will also support the sites with data collection and analysis efforts. This position will be a part of the Women, Infant, and Community Wellness Section, Maternal Health Branch and serve as a subject matter expert for perinatal health.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment
- An equivalent combination of training and experience

- Ability to provide consultation, coaching and solutions-focused support to stakeholders
- Ability to review data for completeness and accuracy and communicate findings clearly
- Familiarity with the unique challenges of maternity care deserts and rural health systems
- Demonstrated ability to work across teams, including external partners
Responsibilities
