About The Position

Togetherhood is expanding to Boston and seeking passionate instructors to join our network of over 400 teachers, coaches, and instructors. We offer flexible, well-paying supplemental work where instructors have the freedom to use their own lesson plans and curriculum. Togetherhood is a marketplace connecting talented educators with schools and communities seeking enrichment programs in areas such as arts & crafts, skateboarding, breakdancing, and STEM. Our mission is to "infuse every community with high quality enrichment and education." We support instructors in sharing their craft and passion with children eager to learn and grow.

Requirements

Experience teaching school-age children
Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Ability to bring your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
Cooperative, supportive, flexible
Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
Appreciates support and clear expectations
Provide a resume showcasing relevant teaching experience
If lacking formal teaching experience, share any other relevant experience or training in a cover letter or on the application questionnaire

Responsibilities

Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
Create memorable experiences for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for your subject
Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
Help children understand why the performing arts are so wonderful and how they have helped shape you as a person
