About The Position

At Angel City FC, we are building a world-class organization that uses sport to drive equity. One of the most valuable women’s sports teams in the world, we are redefining how sport, entertainment, and purpose intersect. Our vision is to create engaging and unique experiences that bring our mission to life while building a sustainable, high-growth business. We lead with passion, innovation, and a commitment to doing things differently. We are stronger together, have more impact together, and have more fun together. Angel City FC is seeking a highly analytical, growth-minded Performance Marketing Manager / Senior Manager to own the strategy, execution, and optimization of our paid media portfolio. This role is directly responsible for driving ticketing and eCommerce revenue, maximizing ROAS, and scaling our digital and physical footprint. As a proactive self-starter, you will manage a significant media budget, overseeing our primary digital media agency for paid social, search, programmatic, and display networks, while directly managing external vendors for a robust Out-of-Home (OOH) footprint and key contractual media flights. We are looking for an agile marketer who doesn't just manage campaigns but actively uncovers new opportunities to scale, moving comfortably between data analysis and strategic pivots to hit our ambitious revenue goals.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years (Manager) or 5–7+ years (Senior Manager) of dedicated performance marketing experience, ideally within sports, entertainment, live events, agency settings, or a fast-paced eCommerce brand.
  • Proven track record of managing paid media budgets across Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snap), Search/SEM, Display networks, and physical Out-of-Home (OOH) media.
  • A fiercely analytical, data-driven mindset with a proven history of converting raw data into scalable growth strategy.
  • A proven self-starter who operates with a high degree of autonomy, takes immediate ownership of goals, and is comfortable adjusting strategies dynamically to solve complex puzzles.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Business Manager, HubSpot, Looker Studio, and Asana.
  • Strong ability to write high-converting ad copy and provide clear, performance-minded creative direction to design teams.
  • A proactive collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of working flexible hours (including select nights and weekends) aligned with the ACFC match schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day communication and strategic direction for our primary media agency, holding them accountable for performance across Meta (Paid Social & Display), Google (Search, YouTube & Display), and programmatic media.
  • Manage and optimize additional digital media streams including B2B/premium ticketing campaigns on LinkedIn, and proactively lay the groundwork to pilot and launch emerging performance channels (e.g., Snapchat).
  • Directly manage relationships, contract negotiations, and inventory with multiple traditional and non-traditional vendors for Out-of-Home (OOH) campaigns, including traditional billboards, wild postings, and grassroots placements.
  • Oversee the execution, scheduling, and performance tracking of high-stakes contractual media partnerships (e.g., iHeartRadio), ensuring 100% fulfillment and optimal impact.
  • Steer the end-to-end strategy for all paid channels to aggressively drive revenue across ticketing (season tickets, single games) and eCommerce merchandise sales.
  • Actively identify market opportunities to scale campaigns, test new audiences, and pivot media strategies mid-flight when necessary to maintain trajectory toward revenue targets.
  • Partner closely with the internal creative team to brief, order, and traffic the assets needed to fuel diverse media flights and optimization tests.
  • Manage integrated performance marketing calendars and production pipelines using Asana to ensure flawless campaign launches and asset deliveries.
  • Manage allocations across our media portfolio, continuously auditing performance and dynamically shifting capital to the highest-performing channels.
  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting that translates complex data into actionable insights for executive leadership.
  • Design and execute continuous conversion rate optimization (CRO), A/B testing, and multivariate testing across ad creative, copy, audiences, and landing pages.
