About The Position

The Performance and Quality Assurance professional is responsible for oversight of the Agency’s quality assurance and performance improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or comparable field required.
  • At least 3 years QI experience including knowledge of quality improvement procedures in behavioral health programs.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and directions verbally.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Availability of a safe and roadworthy vehicle.
  • Proof of suitable automobile insurance.
  • Must pass a state police background check.
  • Must pass a CT DCF protective service background check.
  • Must pass a motor vehicle check.
  • Provide proof of physical and negative PPD results.
  • If the applicant has resided in another state in the last 5 years, background checks must be conducted and passed in those states as well.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of COA accreditation standards preferred.
  • Applicable management and quality improvement or risk management experience would be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate the Quality Assurance and Improvement Plan, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, policy and strategic planning, COA accreditation standards, and customer and client quality initiatives.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance by coordinating standards management, overseeing program and medical record compliance with management, ensuring up-to-date credentialing and licensing for Provider programs, and supporting the achievement of targeted outcomes.
  • Oversee key quality management systems including QI Activities, Prevention Program, Quality of Care (credentialing, adverse incidents, peer review linkages), Treatment Record Review, electronic medical updates, QA Data and Outcome systems, Satisfaction Surveys, Annual Analysis, and ensuring programs follow Client Rights and Grievance Procedures.
  • Prepare or assist in preparing key reports such as Dashboards, Summaries, and Data review in Results Based Accountability (RBA) format, and maintain the RBA scorecard.
  • Collaborate with executive management to develop quality monitors/performance standards and design quality improvement initiatives, providing consultation, support, and direction to staff on PI/QA.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Executive Director.
