Internship - Performance Improvement/Quality Improvement
About The Position
This is an unpaid internship. The Epidemiology Intern will work within the Performance Management and Quality Improvement Team (PMQI). The intern will be a driving force behind the revamping of the Epidemiology SharePoint site along with the review, categorization, and cataloging of both internal and external data requests. The intern will also be responsible for updating the agency’s Clear Impact Scorecards as a primary focus. This includes crafting narratives related to each scorecard and assisting the data analyst with scorecard updates. Additionally, the intern will serve as a member of the Data Subcommittee, contribute to ongoing data analysis needs, and provide administrative support to the PMQI Manager related to tasks involving quality measures, accreditation, and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Health or related health science field required
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the management of the Epidemiology SharePoint site
- Contribute to the maintenance of the Data Hub on SharePoint
- Assist with data training opportunities with CHA staff
- Audit and catalog historical data requests
- Update Clear Impact Scorecards and craft supporting narratives
- Assist the Data Manager with scorecard updates
- Participate in the Data Subcommittee
- Provide administrative support to the PMQI Manager on quality measures, accreditation, and satisfaction initiatives
