Internship - Performance Improvement/Quality Improvement
About The Position
This is an unpaid internship where the Epidemiology Intern will work within the Performance Management and Quality Improvement Team (PMQI). The intern will be responsible for revamping the Epidemiology SharePoint site, reviewing, categorizing, and cataloging internal and external data requests, and updating the agency’s Clear Impact Scorecards. This includes crafting narratives related to each scorecard and assisting the data analyst with scorecard updates. The intern will also serve as a member of the Data Subcommittee, contribute to ongoing data analysis needs, and provide administrative support to the PMQI Manager related to tasks involving quality measures, accreditation, and satisfaction. The internship is for the Spring Term (January 2027 - May 2027) with a time commitment of approximately 20 hours/week.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Health or related health science field required
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the management of the Epidemiology SharePoint site
- Contribute to the maintenance of the Data Hub on SharePoint
- Assist with data training opportunities with CHA staff
- Audit and catalog historical data requests
- Update Clear Impact Scorecards and craft supporting narratives
- Assist the Data Manager with scorecard updates
- Participate in the Data Subcommittee
- Provide administrative support to the PMQI Manager on quality measures, accreditation, and satisfaction initiatives
