About The Position

The Performance Fitter conducts product fitting events and supports a positive customer experience from setup through event completion. The role builds enthusiasm for Callaway Golf and Odyssey products by educating consumers about product features, advantages, and benefits. The fitter may work alongside an Outside Sales Representative or independently as directed by the representative. This part-time, seasonal role has a varied schedule and requires availability on scheduled weekdays and weekends during the golf season in the assigned territory. A typical event lasts 5–6 hours on a Saturday or Sunday. The position involves setting up and taking down marketing displays and fitting equipment, conducting fittings according to Callaway’s protocol, using a launch monitor and other provided tools, and providing consumers with personalized product specifications. The fitter also supports event goals, maintains fitting equipment and inventory, uses and trains others on the Odyssey Fits Tool, and communicates event accomplishments, challenges, and lessons learned to the Outside Sales Representative. The role requires frequent travel within the territory, occasional travel to surrounding territories, and occasional travel outside the territory to events and trade shows. The work is primarily outdoors and may involve lifting up to 60 pounds. A vehicle large enough to carry 15–20 golf bags and display tents is preferred; an SUV or minivan is suggested. The employee may be asked to drive a company vehicle or pull a company trailer. The stated pay range is $16.50–$20.00 per hour; the posting also lists a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Able to learn product characteristics and distinguish company product features, benefits, and fitting concepts.
Able to present technical ideas and facts to a diverse audience of consumers and customers.
Present information in a manner consistent with Callaway standards.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to influence situations and people positively.
Demonstrated leadership and professionalism.
Valid driver’s license and proper insurance for the resident state; driving record must meet company authorized-driver criteria.
Availability to work scheduled weekdays and weekends during the golf season in the assigned territory.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Support customer event goals and deliver an outstanding consumer experience.
Set up and take down displays and equipment, following Callaway’s product-fitting setup protocol.
Ensure fitting carts, tents, wind blades, and table skirts are present, presentable, and up to date at events.
Inventory and update the Fit Cart.
Communicate the advantages of the full line of Callaway Golf products to consumers.
Conduct customer fittings using Callaway’s fitting protocol, a launch monitor, and other provided tools.
Run and train on the Odyssey Fits Tool and apply selling techniques.
Provide personalized product specifications to consumers.
Communicate accomplishments and challenges to the Outside Sales Representative and share and solicit lessons learned from events.
Educate consumers about Callaway Golf and Odyssey product features, advantages, and benefits.
