This person is responsible for efficiently processing performance event results and applications while providing a high level of customer service to AKC clubs and participants. Day-to-day work includes recording results from approximately 15 different sports to individual dog records, assisting clubs with upcoming events, and responding to inquiries from dog owners and clubs about results, awards, and titles. The role also includes making official corrections and completing event application requests. The representative applies critical thinking to work within each sport’s rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. This is not a data-entry-only position; it requires teamwork, flexibility as workloads are prioritized, and the ability to meet deadlines. The position analyzes and processes event information submitted on paper, online, or by fax; resolves issues with event secretaries and other customers; pursues outstanding results before monthly deadlines; maintains and organizes records; and documents customer communications. It also supports clubs using the online event management system and answers questions about AKC website navigation and related features. The position is hybrid and requires at least three days per week in the Raleigh, North Carolina office.
