About The Position

FoodScience is seeking a Performance Creative Strategist to drive the creative strategy behind our direct-to-consumer growth engine. This role is responsible for developing high-performing advertising concepts that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth across paid social, video, landing pages, and other digital marketing channels. This role sits at the intersection of consumer psychology, creative development, and performance marketing. Working closely with Performance Marketing, Creative, Brand, and Content teams, you will translate data into actionable creative direction, develop testing roadmaps, and identify opportunities to improve advertising performance across multiple channels. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking with creative problem solving and has experience developing creative strategies for fast-scaling DTC direct response paid social advertising. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on customer acquisition, creative performance, and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in performance marketing, creative strategy, growth marketing, or direct-to-consumer marketing
  • Demonstrated experience developing creative strategies for fast-scaling DTC direct response paid social advertising
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition principles and performance marketing fundamentals
  • Experience supporting digital advertising campaigns focused on measurable business outcomes
  • Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable creative recommendations
  • Strong copywriting, storytelling, and creative briefing skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Experience working within fast-paced, high-growth environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consumer packaged goods, health and wellness, supplements, pet products, or ecommerce industries
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Triple Whale, Northbeam, or similar reporting platforms
  • Experience working with high-growth DTC brands or performance marketing agencies
  • Familiarity with UGC, creator content, direct response video, and paid social creative development

Responsibilities

  • Develop performance-focused creative strategies designed to acquire new customers and support business growth objectives
  • Research customer motivations, pain points, objections, and purchase drivers to inform creative concepts and messaging
  • Translate performance data and consumer insights into actionable creative recommendations
  • Create detailed creative briefs for designers, video editors, copywriters, and content creators
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to ensure creative concepts align with brand standards and business priorities
  • Manage creative workload planning and maintain strong creative velocity across campaigns and initiatives
  • Collaborate with the UGC Coordinator to develop creator concepts and curate creator partnerships aligned with target audiences
  • Develop and manage creative testing roadmaps across paid media channels
  • Analyze creative performance to identify winning messaging, hooks, offers, visual formats, and customer acquisition opportunities
  • Continuously generate and refine new creative concepts based on campaign results and emerging insights
  • Conduct competitor and marketplace analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Partner with media buyers to evaluate creative effectiveness and scaling opportunities
  • Drive a culture of testing, learning, and continuous optimization
  • Support creative strategy across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google, and emerging advertising platforms
  • Monitor and interpret key performance indicators including CTR, CVR, CAC, ROAS, AOV, and customer acquisition trends
  • Participate in campaign planning, forecasting, and performance reviews
  • Ensure creative strategies support customers throughout the purchase journey, from awareness through conversion
  • Leverage customer reviews, surveys, social listening, competitive analysis, and internal performance data to uncover actionable insights
  • Develop customer personas and audience profiles that support marketing objectives
  • Stay current on platform updates, advertising trends, and emerging best practices in performance creative
  • Identify opportunities to improve messaging, positioning, and customer engagement
  • Partner closely with Creative, Ecommerce, Product Development, Brand, and Marketing teams to align campaign priorities and messaging
  • Present creative recommendations, testing insights, and performance findings to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
