About The Position

Apple Inc. is hiring a Performance and Modeling Engineer in Austin, Texas. The role models GPU architectural functionality to a pixel-accurate level using C++ for feature validation and performance studies. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams across sites to define GPU feature coverage, validation strategies, and execution plans; develops and maintains GPU software testing and regression infrastructure using Python and Kotlin; and triages model and simulation regressions. The role also analyzes logs and traces to identify architectural, functional, or test-environment failures; enhances model infrastructure and debugging tools; writes and maintains testbenches and validation scenarios for new GPU architectural features; reviews architecture specifications from a validation perspective; contributes to automated workflows and CI systems; and participates in weekly syncs with design, software, and performance teams. The position is 40 hours per week.
