About The Position

Apple Inc. has an available Performance and Modeling Engineer position in Austin, Texas. The role models GPU architectural functionality to a pixel-accurate level using C++ for feature validation and performance studies. It works with cross-functional teams across sites to define GPU feature coverage, validation strategies, and execution plans. The engineer develops and maintains GPU software testing and regression infrastructure using Python and Kotlin, investigates model and simulation regressions, and analyzes logs and traces to identify the root causes of architectural, functional, or test-environment failures. The position also enhances model infrastructure and debugging tools, writes and maintains testbenches and validation scenarios for new GPU architectural features, reviews architecture specifications from a validation perspective, contributes to automated workflows and continuous integration systems, and participates in weekly syncs with design, software, and performance teams. The position is 40 hours per week.
