About The Position

The PeopleSoft Developer designs, develops, tests, and maintains technical solutions in the State of Oklahoma’s enterprise PeopleSoft environments. The role partners with OMES Functional Teams, Business Analysts, and state agency users to deliver enhancements, integrations, and system support across PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management. It requires hands-on PeopleSoft and PeopleTools expertise, analytical problem-solving, and collaboration across multiple agencies. The developer supports upgrades, integrations, production issues, performance tuning, and technical projects.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, on-site position in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, supporting the Information Services Division. Salary is based on education and experience. The work is performed in a comfortable office setting, using a computer for much of the workday; noise is usually mild, and occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of PeopleSoft technical development experience.
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft development and PeopleTools.
• Experience with PeopleSoft development tools, including Application Designer, Application Engine, Application Packages, File Layouts, PeopleCode, Webservices, Integration Broker, and Component Interface / Excel to CI.
• Proficiency with reporting tools including SQR, XML Publisher, Crystal Reports, and PS/Query.
• Expertise configuring Work Center panels and Fluid Tiles.
• Experience with PeopleSoft FSCM modules, including Account Payables, Account Receivables, Billing, eBill, ePro, eSupplier, PO, Travel & Expense, Inventory, General Ledger, and Project Costing.
• Good knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial module configuration, installations, patches and bundles, and 1099 tax upgrades using PUM.
• Ability to support application upgrades, integrations, production issues, and performance tuning.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with government or public-sector financial systems.
• Familiarity with OMES policies, statewide financial processes, and Oracle Cloud/Workday integrations.
• Experience with PTF, DPK, or automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Work with Oklahoma state agency users, OMES Functional Teams, and Business Analysts to understand business requirements and design solutions for enhancements.
• Troubleshoot issues raised by Business Analysts and agency users during testing, upgrades, and patch cycles.
• Design, develop, and maintain PeopleSoft customizations using PeopleTools.
• Configure PeopleSoft Financial modules and support PeopleSoft installations, patches, bundles, and 1099 tax upgrades using PUM.
• Provide support for financial applications and troubleshoot technical and functional issues.
• Execute CEMLIs to address data fixes through SQL and support project migrations using PCM tools across environments.
• Monitor critical nightly batch jobs, service performance, and user-scheduled jobs, and alert stakeholders about abnormalities.
• Troubleshoot scheduled batch failures and implement long-term preventative solutions.
• Coordinate with the Batch Monitoring team on job holds and releases during maintenance windows and provide status updates to leadership.
• Coordinate application maintenance activities with Oracle Corporation and OMES teams.
• Notify leads and stakeholders about pre- and post-maintenance tasks, including operating system and security patching, application-related Oracle patches, certificate updates, server and infrastructure maintenance, vulnerability patching, and application rolling bounces.
• Create and maintain Pulse calendar entries in My Oracle Support for quarterly maintenance activities, avoiding conflicts with operational timelines.
• Track go-live timelines and project migrations to avoid conflicts with deliverables.
• Approve and oversee migrations through PCM, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Secure approvals and assist users in obtaining backend SQL Developer or database access; coordinate with Oracle to provision database access when required.
• Maintain incident tracking in ServiceNow, propose application usability and efficiency improvements, and meet SLA requirements.
• Collaborate with Vendor Management and Workday support teams to resolve vendor synchronization issues and initiate required Workday interface triggers.
• Provide daily stand-up updates and track effort in Azure DevOps.
• Conduct sprint planning, propose upcoming project work, and assist with effort estimation.
• Maintain project documentation and approvals on SharePoint with appropriate access restrictions.
