WeTravel•Madison, MS
•$100,000 - $115,000•Remote

About The Position

WeTravel is seeking a People Partner to join their growing People team. This role will be responsible for the full people partnership for the Go-To-Market (GTM) organization, including Commercial, CX, and Finance/Ops, across the US, LATAM, and APAC. The People Partner will support approximately 10 senior leaders and 250 employees. The position involves helping leaders make informed people decisions, building high-performing teams, and identifying talent and organizational strategies to drive business growth. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role that requires partnering directly with leadership to develop programs and policies for sustainable scaling. The role includes owning organizational design for the assigned group and influencing company-wide compensation, performance, and talent decisions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with both strategic planning and hands-on delivery, capable of addressing organizational design challenges, managing complex employee relations cases, supporting integration efforts, and optimizing performance management systems, particularly for sales teams. A key focus will be on the 'Grow Talent' pillar, which includes developing managers, fostering employee growth and retention, establishing clear growth paths, implementing effective performance and development cycles, and ensuring succession for critical roles. This includes leading the performance management redesign and co-designing/owning the manager enablement program. The role is designed for someone who thrives in the fast-paced environment of a hyper-growth company.

  • Strong commercial judgment and experience working with senior commercial leaders: confident coaching managers through performance, development and difficult conversations.
  • People operations background (rather than recruitment): comfortable with US multi-state employment law and working knowledge of regional employment law, able to make the right call yourself.
  • Comfortable with data: able to build and interpret people analytics/dashboards and use them to influence decisions and proactively offer solutions.
  • Strong judgment and discretion navigating complex, sensitive people situations.
  • Curious, low-ego, collaborative: willing to roll up your sleeves wherever the problem is.
  • Must have the full legal right to work in the US (citizenship or residency).
  • Cannot reside in Alaska, California, Colorado, New York, or Washington.

  • Provide direct support to employees on complex or sensitive people matters, while partnering with People Operations on operational needs.
  • Advise leaders in your org (and lead the core HR cycles related to) through compensation and promotions decisions, using compensation data, performance outcomes and organizational context to support consistent and equitable decisions.
  • Partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition on headcount planning, role scoping and hiring strategy - ensuring we have top talent in the most critical roles.
  • Own compliance calls: relocation cases, terminations and other employment matters - using your own judgment on US multi-state law, and knowing when to escalate.
  • Use people data and org-specific metrics (attrition, ramp time and more) to spot trends and recommend proactive solutions.
