•$100,000 - $130,000•Remote

About The Position

Skylight is a digital consultancy that uses design and technology to help government agencies deliver better public services. The People Operations Manager reports directly to the Head of People Operations and plays a hands-on role in administering the people programs that support the company’s employees. The position focuses on benefits and leave administration, employee lifecycle processes, and keeping people systems, records, and policies accurate and current. The role administers benefits and leave, manages onboarding through offboarding, supports employee relations and performance processes, and serves as the administrator for the company’s HRIS. It also maintains policies and compliance processes, responds to employee questions, communicates people-related updates, and identifies opportunities to automate administrative work. This is a full-time, exempt, fully remote position. All work must be conducted within the U.S.; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Work travel may be required from time to time. As a government contractor, the employee may be required to obtain a public trust or security clearance and pass a company background check.

  • Comfort working without an existing playbook and the initiative to document processes afterward.
  • Passion for creating better public outcomes through effective government services.
  • A mindset and work approach aligned with Skylight’s core values.
  • Ability to travel for work from time to time.
  • All work must be conducted within the U.S.
