About The Position

We are seeking a People Experience Generalist to join our team. This role is ideal for a mission-driven professional who is passionate about people and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, families, and the employees who support them. The successful candidate will bring a strong sense of purpose, a people-centered approach, and a genuine alignment with our agency’s mission and values. In this role, you will perform professional-level human resources duties, with primary responsibility for team member relations and general HR operations, while also supporting some or all of the following functional areas: compensation, benefits, training and development, employment, labor relations, affirmative action, and employment equity programs. As a member of the People Experience Team, you will collaborate with 12 dedicated team members, foster a culture of belonging and engagement, and report directly to the Senior Manager of People Experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in the HR field
  • High School Diploma
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Pass background check, physical and drug screening
  • A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in
  • Proof of current vehicle insurance
  • Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a point of contact for employee relations matters by supporting the resolution of workplace concerns, advising on policy interpretation, assisting with investigations, and promoting a positive, compliant, and inclusive work environment.
  • Maintains accurate employee records, processes employment changes, conducts audits, supports required filings, and responds to employment verifications and unemployment requests in accordance with state and federal requirements.
  • Assists with policy implementation, new hire orientation, compensation analysis, job description updates, personnel issue resolution, and various HR programs and initiatives supporting team member engagement and retention.
  • Contributes to departmental goals and continuous improvement initiatives, participates in committees and planning processes, and ensures alignment with diversity, inclusion, and compliance standards.
