About The Position

New Horizons In-Home Care is seeking a People & Culture Generalist to join their growing team. This role focuses on shaping culture, strengthening leaders, and building better systems, supporting multiple sites with occasional travel required within Oregon and/or Washington. The ideal candidate will enjoy solving problems, coaching managers, improving processes, and being actively involved in the organization. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, offering significant growth opportunities for someone looking to advance their Human Resources career and influence company culture.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional experience (HR, operations, management, customer service, recruiting, project coordination, or similar people-focused roles)
• Strong communication skills — ability to handle conversations with clarity and professionalism
• Comfort navigating conflict or tough situations without avoiding them
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Solid judgment — knowing when to act independently and when to ask for guidance
• Tech-comfortable and able to learn new systems quickly
• Ability to see inefficiencies and desire to improve them
• Ability to think critically
• Ability to communicate well
• Ability to support people in a fast-moving environment

Nice To Haves

• HR experience is helpful, but not required.

• Partnering directly with site leaders to navigate employee relations and performance conversations
• Supporting hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives
• Rolling out new programs and People & Culture improvements
• Helping ensure compliance without losing the human touch
• Supporting leave management and documentation
• Being a go-to resource for managers and employees
• Improving processes
