About The Position

The People & Culture (P&C) Generalist is responsible for executing core P&C functions within a dynamic, growing, and fast paced environment. This role focuses on employee relations, benefits administration, employee lifecycle management, and compliance driven processes, including the ADA Interactive Process. The P&C Generalist partners closely with P&C leadership to ensure sensitive matters are handled consistently, confidentially, and in compliance with applicable laws while supporting organizational growth and a positive employee experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a human resources generalist or employee relations role
  • Working knowledge of ADA, benefits administration, and leave management processes
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work on-site at the Corporate Office up to 4 days per week
  • Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, and communication

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the employee lifecycle from hire to separation, ensuring a seamless, compliant, and positive employee experience.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, HRIS transactions, background check coordination, benefits enrollment, and introduction to company programs.
  • Lead and deliver new hire orientation programs, ensuring employees understand company policies, benefits offerings, culture, and expectations.
  • Manage employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and organizational changes throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Oversee offboarding processes, including separation documentation, exit procedures, benefits transition communications, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate exit interviews and departure surveys for corporate and leadership level employees, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
  • Own the administration of the Company's benefits programs, serving as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, brokers, and benefits vendors.
  • Manage benefit enrollments, life event changes, annual open enrollment, eligibility audits, and ongoing benefits administration processes.
  • Support and resolve escalated benefits-related inquiries, including eligibility, enrollment issues, vendor coordination, claims concerns, and compliance-driven questions.
  • Coordinate with benefits vendors and internal partners on health and welfare plans, leave administration, disability programs, ADA accommodations, and employee wellness initiatives.
  • Draft and administer benefit repayment communications, including repayment letters and coordination of recovery processes for missed premium payments.
  • Manage part time benefit payments, including tracking employee contributions, reconciling discrepancies, and addressing missed or insufficient payments.
  • Monitor benefits related compliance requirements and assist in ensuring adherence with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Partner with P&C leadership on complex employee relations matters, including those involving medical, disability, or leave considerations.
  • Serve as the primary P&C contact for accommodation requests, ensuring timely engagement in the interactive process.
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of ADA cases, accommodations, and outcomes.
  • Support and monitor leave of absence and return to work processes in coordination with third party administrators and vendors (e.g., The Hartford).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee, medical, and organizational information.
  • Execute P&C processes directly, ensuring work moves efficiently from direction to completion.
  • Manage all unemployment claims, including responding to information requests and representing the Company during appeal hearings.
  • Identify gaps in P&C and benefits processes and implement improvements that enhance compliance, efficiency, and the employee experience.
  • Create, update, and maintain SOPs related to benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, ADA accommodations, and leave management.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Provide general P&C support as needed to ensure continuity, coverage, and operational effectiveness.
