About The Position

The People & Culture Advisor works with a collaborative team of experienced HR professionals to deliver practical HR solutions to clients across Canada. The role supports a broad range of human resources functions and initiatives for small and medium-sized organizations across not-for-profit, public, and private sectors, in both unionized and non-unionized environments. It offers variety, continuous learning, and the opportunity to develop HR consulting expertise while making an impact on organizations and their people. The position is remote, with occasional travel to client locations; applicants should be located on Vancouver Island or in the Lower Mainland.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree, preferably in HR, business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of HR-related experience, including internships and co-ops.
• Curiosity, initiative, and a genuine desire to learn.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and connection.
• Comfort with technology and the ability to use AI tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• Applicants should be located on Vancouver Island or in the Lower Mainland.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with HRIS or ATS systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to support clients’ day-to-day HR needs, including employee questions and policy updates.
• Support managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and development to employee relations and offboarding.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that build programs and foundations supporting employee growth, workplace safety, and organizational success.
• Support clients in finding and hiring talent by leading recruitment activities from job posting through the offer stage.
• Develop consulting skills while balancing client relationships, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Use technology, including AI, HRIS, and ATS systems, to support effective HR operations.
