About The Position

We are seeking a People and Culture Coordinator to support the effective delivery of People and Culture (P&C) programs and services, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee experience, P&C operations, and P&C policy administration. Working closely with the People and Culture team, you will contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and people-centered workplace that strengthens the employee experience at the RHF.

Requirements

  • A diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role, supporting a broad range of human resources functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to supporting a positive, inclusive, and people-centred workplace culture.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted and respectful working relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with flexibility and initiative.

Nice To Haves

  • CHRP designation completed, in progress, or an interest in pursuing the designation is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with HRIS/HRMS platforms, or an interest in learning and using these systems; experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of employment standards legislation across multiple provinces and/or territories is considered an asset.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of Indigenous cultures within Canada an asset.
  • Experience in the non-profit or charitable sector is considered an asset.
  • bilingualism in French and English an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening coordination, interview scheduling, offer preparation, pre-employment checks and candidate communication.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities by communicating with new hires and arranging documentation, orientation, and training logistics.
  • Support offboarding activities by coordinating employee departures, including documentation, exit processes, and system access removal.
  • Coordinate benefit administration activities, including processing enrollments and changes and responding to employee inquiries regarding coverage and premiums details.
  • Coordinate performance review processes, including preparing materials, tracking progress, and following up with employees and managers.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for P&C processes, including documentation management, record maintenance, leave tracking and workflow coordination.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to P&C policies, programs, benefits, and workplace processes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within the HRIS and related systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, documentation, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Support employee programs and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and the employee experience.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
