About The Position

The Pen Loader accurately and efficiently hand-loads pens into frequently cycling blister trays. The role also involves preparing pen boxes and inserts, packing blister cards, inspecting finished product, keeping the work area clean, and supporting packer duties in Display and Assembly as needed. The position is scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM.

Requirements

Speak and comprehend directions and feedback in English.
Have the dexterity to drop pens onto a moving conveyor system.
Be a team player, dependable, conscientious, and detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma.
At least one year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Load pens with both hands into moving blister trays according to the production run, at an average rate of 50 pens per minute.
Load inserts into the rack at the front of the machine.
Open bulk pen boxes and stage pen inner boxes on the blister machine for loading.
Pack blister cards from the conveyor belt into chip boxes, then load chip boxes into master cartons.
Constantly inspect blistered products during packing to ensure quality.
Follow instructions from the Machine Operator.
During machine stops and changeovers, clean the immediate work area, pick up pens, empty nearby trash receptacles into designated bins as needed, load blister tables, and open pen boxes.
Keep current on product codes and descriptions to ensure finished-product accuracy.
Build small cutout cardboard trays by hand.
Perform packer responsibilities in the Display and Assembly departments as needed.
Work extended shifts and/or weekends when necessary, most commonly during Back-to-School seasons.
