About The Position

The PEM Machine Operator fabricates sheet metal products to customer specifications, ensuring finished products meet or exceed expectations. The role involves setting up and operating PEM machines and uploading and executing the programs needed to produce customer products. This is an on-site, second-shift position in Aurora, Ohio.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience operating PEM machines, punch presses, or similar manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
Proficiency with measurement tools and quality inspection techniques.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate PEM machines according to the PEM-style fasteners required for each product.
Upload and execute programs needed to produce customer products.
Read blueprints to identify the type and number of PEM-style fasteners required.
Validate that parts meet customer specifications.
Perform basic mathematical tasks, such as inventory counts and tracking completed parts.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Work autonomously and remain on task.
Troubleshoot production problems and communicate them to a supervisor.
Adhere to quality standards and shop expectations.
