About The Position

We offer a wide range of services including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Acute Care, Dentistry, Optometry, Women’s Health, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health, and specialty services. Our Rehabilitation Department is a multidisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Pelvic Floor Therapy, focused on improving patient mobility, function, and quality of life through personalized treatment plans. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current New York State Physical Therapist license in good standing.
  • Experience evaluating and treating pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
  • Advanced training or certification in Pelvic Health or Women's Health Physical Therapy.
  • Experience treating prenatal and postpartum patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Treat a broad range of pelvic health conditions, including urinary and bowel dysfunction, bladder and bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, prenatal and postpartum-related dysfunction, post-surgical complications, pediatric pelvic floor dysfunction, and male pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve function, mobility, and quality of life.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment plan, and expected outcomes.
  • Develop customized home exercise programs.
  • Provide guidance on posture, body mechanics, positioning, transfers, safety, and activity modification.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment or environmental modifications when appropriate.
  • Accurately document patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes within the EMR.
  • Ensure proper CPT and ICD coding for all services rendered.
  • Maintain compliance and documentation standards.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in department meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in pelvic health rehabilitation.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
