About The Position

The Pelletizing Operator oversees the condition and operation of palletizing equipment in the Palletizing department. The operator inputs data into the machine, monitors machine output, performs quality checks, and follows safety policies and housekeeping practices. The role includes troubleshooting minor operational issues to minimize production downtime, monitoring materials and processes, and working toward production goals. The operator also completes accurate production reports, follows sanitation regulations, and performs other duties as assigned by management.

The position requires general knowledge of palletizing equipment, relevant equipment policies and procedures, food safety and quality practices, and safety practices in plastic manufacturing. The operator works primarily on the manufacturing floor, where exposure to loud noise, machinery, high temperatures, and chemicals may occur. Personal protective equipment is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge of palletizing equipment principles.
• Knowledge of FSSC 22000:2005.
• Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of safety practices in plastic manufacturing and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and coordinate resources to meet production deadlines.
• Ability to manage team stress during high-demand periods and remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Competence using production management software and data analysis tools.
• Experience in plastic recycling and material.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices such as a tape measure and scale.
• Ability to repeatedly reach, bend, push, pull, kneel, and carry.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate and interpret instructions.
• Good eyesight to inspect finished products for quality defects.
