About The Position

Works in a fast-paced production environment known as an automated Central Fill Pharmacy. Packages prescriptions in totes for delivery after accuracy has been verified. The position supports pharmacy fulfillment and must maintain the confidentiality of customers’ private medical information according to the HIPAA Act. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions involving several concrete variables.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
Ability to file, post, and mail materials; copy data from one record to another; interview to obtain basic information; and guide people.
Commitment to the Hy-Vee mission and willingness to promote company values.
Must meet the stated visual requirements, including vision at 20 inches or less with or without correction, field of vision, and color vision.
Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, lift, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Place prescription bags into totes for delivery to patients or retail pharmacies once a pharmacist has verified accuracy.
Swap totes between waves.
Verify prescriptions in totes for shipping accuracy.
Assist with loading completed totes into courier vehicles.
Place totes in all locations along the sorter line.
Work with co-workers as a team to support customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Prepare paperwork and compile medicine for delivery orders and mail-outs at the department manager’s request.
Clean and empty garbage.
Maintain strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
Keep pharmacy supplies well-stocked.
Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
Assist in other areas of the Fulfillment Center as needed.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Maintain the confidentiality of customers’ private medical information.
