About The Position

A Pelletizing Line Operator performs and maintains the daily activities associated with a pelletizing line, including housekeeping, safety, quality, production efficiency, repairs, maintenance, and minimizing downtime. The role requires flexibility to work 40 or more hours per week, weekends as required, and varying shifts due to equipment changeovers. The position reports directly to the shift Wash Line Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, safely.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reading and writing skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivation.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds to a height of 6 feet.
• Ability to stand and remain mobile for at least 8 continuous hours.
• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in temperature extremes.
• Ability to use hands, arms, and legs to handle and transport finished goods.
• Ability to twist, bend, reach, squat, and mount and dismount industrial equipment and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Follow PPE requirements and maintain a safe working record and environment.
• Complete shift production and reporting paperwork.
• Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to the Production Supervisor.
• Meet ADS and AASHTO quality specifications for products produced.
• Assist with the preventive maintenance program as required.
• Troubleshoot process and mechanical problems and perform repairs and adjustments to meet production needs.
• Operate forklifts properly and perform preventive maintenance on them.
• Operate various production lines and processes effectively and earn certifications.
• Maintain facility housekeeping.
• Adhere to the ADS product sampling schedule.
• Maintain and build job skills through company training programs.
• Perform tooling changeovers efficiently.
• Meet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production lines.
• Understand and practice ADS CORE VALUES.
