About The Position

This is a paid student leadership role where you’ll empower your peers to build meaningful, purpose-driven careers. PCCs are trained student leaders who serve as part of the Undergraduate Career Development team, providing one-on-one peer advising, promoting career readiness tools, and supporting key programs and events throughout the academic year. You’ll also help create industry-specific resources, such as professional documents and PowerPoint presentations, that support students exploring fields like finance, consulting, marketing, and entertainment. This is a paid position open to undergraduate students, with preference given to upperclassmen who have internship experience and are available for both the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student (Kogod School of Business students preferred).
  • Internship experience in finance, consulting, marketing, or entertainment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Initiative, flexibility, and multitasking ability.
  • Professionalism and maturity, especially when interacting with employers and campus partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Availability to begin at the immediately and commit through the 2026–2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one advising appointments with students to assist with resumes, cover letters, and general career development topics.
  • Refer students to online tools such as Quinncia, Careernomics, and KTN.
  • Create and edit industry-related resources, including professional documents and presentation materials.
  • Share insights and internship experience to support peers in specific industries (e.g., finance, consulting, marketing, entertainment).
  • Promote peer networking and career exploration opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Kogod faculty, staff, and student organizations to promote career events and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of workshops and professional development events.
  • Support the implementation of KSB Career Development assignments.
  • Receive cross-training in front desk operations, event logistics, and social media support.
  • Assist with setting up and tearing down events, including lifting up to 25 lbs as needed.
  • Attend a mandatory two-day training session in late August (exact dates to be confirmed).
  • Sign and comply with a confidentiality agreement to protect student records and sensitive information.
