Pediatrics - NP/PA
About The Position
This is a locum tenens position in Pediatrics, specifically for an NP/PA, in Columbia, South Carolina. The role involves providing inpatient coverage for a Level I/II Nursery with an average daily census of 1-2 patients. Additionally, the NP/PA will perform pediatric consultations in the Emergency Department as requested. The coverage period is ongoing, starting December 01, 2026. The position requires experience with neonatal resuscitation and care of infants 32 weeks and older, as well as proficiency with the Epic EMR system. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Active South Carolina license
- DHEC certification
- Experience with neonatal resuscitation and care of infants 32 weeks and older
- EPIC experience required
- Hospital Privileges Required

Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient coverage for Level I/II Nursery (average daily census 1-2)
- Perform pediatric consultations in the Emergency Department as requested
- Manage neonatal patients requiring resuscitation, CPAP, and ventilator support
- Perform procedures including peripheral IV insertion, arterial sticks, umbilical line placement, and catheterization
- Administer pulmonary surfactant and perform circumcisions (preferred)
